SHAVING CREAM HALO

A group of happy friends and I are making a love circle in the shape of an OM.  I am unable to put my left arm around my friend on the left but the perfection of the circle is not affected. We are naked.  One young man, a sort of idiot cripple type with a shaving cream halo around his head is suffering so I give him spiritual teaching.  I tell him that survival is for animals, not humans.  We are here to transcend our animal selves and realize our Divinity.  I hold him tightly and press my face to his so that it is impossible for him not to get the message.

My happy ‘friends’ are my happy spiritual thoughts.  They form a circle of love.  The circle of love is in the form of OM, the Vedic symbol of the Self.  My ‘left arm’ signifies negative or selfish thoughts.  They do not affect the perfection of the circle.  In other words, everything in the mind, the positive and the negative is the Self.  ‘Naked’ means that love is the nature of the  Self.  It is our ‘natural’ state.  In the second scene we are naked i.e. in our natural state.  The young idiot cripple with the shaving cream halo is the ego that does not understand that it is the Self, that it is whole and complete and therefore need not worry.  But this spiritually ignorant part of the Self is also divine.  This is why the dream puts a halo around it.  Shaving cream cleans the face like Self knowledge cleans the ego.
