I’m a Troublemaker
Cathy: When you recently said to me, “Screw John, use your energy to find the happiness in yourself,” (or words to that effect), you were kind enough not to say “screw Cathy,” who is the real troublemaker.
Ram: Yes, indeed. I was kind enough not to state the obvious and you were smart enough to draw the correct conclusion and not get pissed off at me, so all is well that ends well.
Cathy: Cathy thought it would be a great idea to contact John again. Needless to say, it all blew up again in her face!! Good lesson though.
And then this morning at about 4:00 am the realisation came to me that Cathy is a troublemaker. You are right when you say I have to look after her, but I would rephrase that to “I have to keep a very close eye on her, she is always looking for trouble.”
I am so much better off without John in my life. These last two weeks, spiritually I have made leaps and bounds (or however the saying goes) because my energy has been free. I need that energy for myself right now. Good lesson though. You know, Ram, life is really funny when you are not caught up in it. My son and his girlfriend were having an argument and she stormed into the bedroom crying, and he went to console her a few times and then got angry himself when it did not work, and then she got angry when he got angry and now they are not talking to each other… I should not be laughing, that was John and myself not that long ago… But I tell you, for one instant I saw how ridiculous it all was.
Ram: I told you all along it was a big joke. Now you are realizing it. Good for you.
