And Vedanta Does It Again!
Nathan: Hi, Daniel, I hope you are well. I woke up this morning and it came to me how really simple I am. I realised the true import of Ram’s words: “What I know depends on me, I do not depend on what I know.’’ How simple, how wonderful, how without quality. The fruit of those words are my life, everything is here, present; what more could we ask for? The old Zen saying suddenly springs to mind: “When you stop travelling [i.e. have the knowledge] or even truly put your luggage down [give back to God], you will have arrived.” So, excellent is all I can say about Vedanta; I know it’s far beyond that superlative, but in another way it’s just a way of knowing myself.
Yes, I would recommend Vedanta to anyone who is ready/qualified. I always sort of knew I was qualified, so as Ram says, “I just went for broke.” Oh, and whether or not I have a wonderful life… or not… isn’t up to me, is it? As long as I have The Knowledge, I’m fine. Thank you for all your wonderful support, although I’ve never actually met/spoken to you. The internet set me free. Ha, ha.
Daniel: Hi, Nathan. I’m well, thank you, enjoying a lazy, beautiful day in Cape Town, South Africa.
Yes, Vedanta is just a word-mirror of you. I cannot fault your clarity. It brings me great joy to receive this email.
Yes, build your life on self-knowledge and no existential storm can shake you. Knowledge is always reliable. Regardless of what happens to Nathan, you are always fine.
May Isvara bless you in everything you do.
~ Much love, Daniel
