I Shine by Myself
Vedantin: Self-knowledge appears firm now. Nothing needs to be said. Brahman is self-evident, is knowledge, is me. Duality doesn’t disappear, but it’s simply ripples in the ocean of brahmananda.
I find that whenever pleasure or pain comes, I simply smile. I see the importance of keeping in contact with brahmajnana.
Knowledge itself is the self. Moksa is the self, and the self is moksa. The self is itself by itself as itself. What do I need to do to shine? I shine by myself. I don’t have to do anything.
You said I shouldn’t be so hard on my jiva. This has helped. The only way to do this is through firm knowledge of myself as myself. I keep my mind on om and I get free bliss and happiness.
Guru is sat guru is brahman. Therefore I thank myself.
Om shanti shanti shantihi.
Daniel: What a delicious email! Yum.
For years I have happily and diligently responded to communications on the topic of Self realization. Since the publication of my book, “How to Attain Enlightenment”— currently in its third printing —and the success of this website, the volume of emails has increased considerably. Unfortunately, owing to a busy schedule of teaching and writing, I am no longer able to answer all the emails I receive in a timely fashion. However, my wife, who is also a teacher, and several well-qualified teachers we have endorsed are available to answer emails on my behalf. I encourage you to send them your questions.
