Tried Them All
Abraham: Hi, James.
I just finished listening to Panchadasi Tiru 2015 for the third time. I also took several revolutions through the full Vedanta set. What a blessing to have the teachings available so readily.
I’ve been searching and stumbling for 30 years, practicing yoga, meditation, Western psychology, Native American spirituality, satsangs with Eli and Gangaji, and when all that didn’t work, I went and had my brain reversed by Kalki Avatar. I am happy to share my zombie-oneness-being stories with you. Then they wanted to sue me because I was letting others offer oneness blessings who had not been properly trained and they had legal rights to it. That’s when I said, “See ya.”
In my disillusionment, I took a several-year hiatus from everything, letting go of the search completely. But yet there was still something calling me back to Advaita Vedanta websites and books, which led me to you 18 months ago.
At this point my knowledge is indirect, with moments of direct knowledge. I understand that I am awareness and that I exist, but I still have work to do via karma and jnana yogas, with my vasanas. Even though the penny has not yet dropped, I have never been more okay with who and where I am. Life continues to get better. I now have a valid means of knowledge, and teachers in you and Ted who can offer support when needed.
I also have the good fortune of being in relationship with a woman who is also hell-bent on freedom. It’s wonderful to practice daily with her and support each other in this path of understanding.
So thank you for the hundreds of hours of teachings. I have been one of those students that you sometimes speak about that are obsessed with the teachings.
I can’t thank you enough for finally sharing the final teaching that Papaji never shared.
Thank you for offering Vedanta with such humility, wisdom and humor.
We will see you this August at Trout Lake, and we have made flight plans to come to India this January.
~ With deep appreciation, Abraham
