The Jiva Has Cancer, but You Do Not
Zack: Daniel, you arrived in my thinking for me to share some news that is “life-changing.”
This body has been diagnosed with a stage IV aggressive cancer. I am noticing a lot of sadness, noise and silence… this mind is still undisciplined but the “knowing” of the silence is the one single thing that is consoling!
Thank you for you sacred listening. I may want to continue sharing this experience as it shows up if you are okay with that. Thanks for being out there and in here.
Daniel: Dear Zack, I’m sorry to hear that your jiva is needing to deal with such news.
But I am happy that your jiva has self-knowledge to hold this experience – and any other experience – that Isvara decides to dish out.
Your response towards this situation is inspirational; an undisciplined mind would not have such a clear and steady response. No need to doubt your knowledge is clearly firm – even if it does not feel like it all the time.
Allow the sadness, noise, silence and whatever other experience/object to arise. Lovingly use these states in your inquiry – to come back to yourself, the knower of all states/objects. Hold the jiva Zack in your loving yet unconcerned light and service it as best you can whilst understanding your freedom from him.
Please feel free to write to me anytime.
~ All my love, Daniel
