Fruits of Self-Knowledge, Yum
A post from the Non-Doodle Facebook group:
If you’re a student of Vedanta, then you know that enlightenment/freedom (moksa) is the result of self-knowledge & not of a particular experience. Actually, enlightenment is freedom from experience altogether.
This is not to say that experience does not exist, take place or that you don’t enjoy experience. It just means that you don’t depend on a particular experience for your happiness because you know yourself to be unchanging awareness, that factor which is already whole and complete, self-shining and totally free.
Now here’s the apparent twist: even though self-knowledge is not an experience it does, however, result in a particular experience; steady confidence, natural satisfaction and loving unconcernedness would be a few gems to mention. We call this the fruits of self-knowledge. Yum.
