Seeker: Hi, Ram. Thanks for the reply. I just finished reading your book. After all the satsangs, the book is as clear as daylight.
I recently had a particularly bad attack of the sex vasana recently. After almost blowing up, I am back to the knowledge that I am whole and complete and don’t need anything else to be happy.
It looks like I have to be vigilant until the knowledge is firm enough.
Ram: Not necessarily. Next time it attacks, have sex with the self in the body and take the whole thing as prasad. Maybe you have to wait until the knowledge is firm to do it, however. ☺
Seeker: The other vasana I have is fear for my family. I only work for them. Otherwise I would just sit around the whole day being happy as I am. ☺
There is a desire stirring to do something other than my job and earn some more money for my family. This should also give me more free time just to be. Hopefully, this should be the desire that is not opposed to dharma.
Ram: I suppose the need to support your family is part of Hindu dharma, but if you don’t gradually see to it that they develop a bit of self-reliance you will end up being nothing but a slave to their insecurities. The more money you make the more their needs will grow. If this happens then you should be happy doing it.
Seeker: Overall, the seeking has stopped. I don’t have a doubt about who I am. I continue to read the satsangs and the Bhagavad Gita Home Study Course.
Ram: That’s great. You are wise to keep up your sadhana. Scripture recommends it. But if you do become confused again, just read my book and the knowledge will solve the problem. The knowledge is liberation.
~ Love, Ram
