Go for It!
Seeker: Dear Ram, it is with great resignation and displeasure that I ask you this question. Is life really a losing game? Is there no hope at all? I realize it’s childish, I should just inquire directly, but I want confirmation to what, for the ego, is the shittiest thing ever.
Ram: This you have to discover on your own through experience if you can’t accept scripture. For every gain there is a loss. It is not a losing game. It is a losing and winning game. So chase the women until it is clear that a woman cannot complete you. Then take up the next vasana, and so on until you become dispassionate. Vedanta only works for dispassionate persons.
If you want moksa in addition to a relationship then do the relationship as karma yoga. Your dispassion will come sooner rather than later. But it seems there is no way around it for you. So go for it.
~ Love, Ram
For years I have happily and diligently responded to communications on the topic of Self realization. Since the publication of my book, “How to Attain Enlightenment”— currently in its third printing —and the success of this website, the volume of emails has increased considerably. Unfortunately, owing to a busy schedule of teaching and writing, I am no longer able to answer all the emails I receive in a timely fashion. However, my wife, who is also a teacher, and several well-qualified teachers we have endorsed are available to answer emails on my behalf. I encourage you to send them your questions.
