Gratitude Is the Best Attitude
Kartik: Dear Sir/Madam, thank you for everything that you have posted at your wonderful website. When I was younger I was a huge “fan” of Swami Chinmayananda, but I was probably reading his works as much for a re-affirmation of our Indian heritage as for learning and assimilating Advaita Vedanta.
I find your presentations so wonderfully clear and insightful. Though you are presenting it in English and eschewing some of the more exotic Sanskrit terms, I can deeply sense the love that you have for Vedanta. Sometimes it can give one a completely different perspective to hear something in a “non-traditional format.” Funnily though, I had not understood anything about Vedanta before I went through the material in your site, I felt that I knew it all. My mother would study Vedanta with a gentleman who was once with Chinmaya and I would “clarify” her doubts. It is strange that in spite of going through the texts so often, I kept missing the forest for the trees.
I now read some of the traditional works with an entirely new vision and it gives me immense joy.
Thank you! Thank you! and thank you once again.
~ Regards, Kartik
Sundari: Hello, Kartik. Thank
you for this beautiful email, we so appreciate your appreciation!
James has tirelessly served Vedanta for most of his life and will
continue to do so until the day he dies. He has sought no reward or
recognition as it is his svadharma
to do so, but it means so much to him to know that his service has
been fruitful.
He has taught me all I know and I do my best to follow in his footsteps.
Many blessings to you, may self-knowledge continue to unfold your life and may peace be with you at all times. If you would like to receive our newsletter and notice of events, please go to our website and sign up for it. You will find the link in “What’s New.”
