Trust Your Common Sense
Kari: Boy, oh, boy, thank you! Ram, I just stumbled upon your teachings somehow quite by accident and I can’t tell you what a RELIEF it brought me. I had been caught up in many modern teachings for many years. LOTS OF FRUSTRATION TOO!
Recently “something” happened to me and I began “seeing” things on my own, but what I was seeing did not jibe with the Neo teachings.
I would share it with people and be told it was not “non-dual” but what I was coming to understand on my own just made plain sense.
When I found your teachings I see that I am not the only one to understand some of these things that have been coming to me.
(How on earth they began just “coming” to me, I don’t know.)
I have been devoted to wanting to know for sure, every day all day long from the time I wake up till the time I go to sleep.
But anyway, you have no idea how much I have suffered from some of the other teachings you have mentioned, and I just wanted to say THANK YOU!
Thank you for your videos and your website, my dear friend.
~ Sincerely, Kari
Ram: You are most welcome, Kari. Here is a great saying from the Buddha that I particularly love: “Believe nothing you have read or anything you have heard – even if I have said it – if is does not correspond to your own common sense and reason.” There is so much half-truth and ignorance masquerading as the truth out there that you have to trust your own experience. Vedanta is just the unexamined logic of your own experience. You are so fortunate that the self saw fit to reveal it to you and that Vedanta came your way to confirm it.
