Verse 3 – Knowldge Yoga

Introduction.  A Teacher is required, exceptions notwithstanding. Quick and easy.  A qualified living teacher is a brahmanishta and a shrotriya.  You need to serve the teacher because you can’t read your way to freedom and you need someone who can point out the inconsistencies in your thinking and the application of non-dual thinking.  Faith pending the result of inquiry is hard because it contradicts experience.  There is no logic to it.  Service protects you because you can see if the teacheer walks the talk.  And the teacher can tailor the teaching to the level of the student.  Faith develops gradually by      developing  rapport. The benefit of mutual dislike that neither wastes time.  If you are qualified you know that enlightenment is Self knowledge.

Knowledge Yoga is listening, resolving doubts and assimilating the knowledge.

A.  Listening:  Knowledge of Jiva (5 sheaths). B.  Knowledge of Isvara (3 Bodies)  C.  The identity of jiva and Isvara.   Pure existence and pure consciousness are non-different.

Through systematic analysis, we discover that consciousness is the essence of the individual, existence is the essence of the world and that  consciousness and existence are non-different. Everything is myself, unborn existence shining as ever-full bliss.
