Seeker: Dear Ramji, what a teacher you are! You are with me daily – mainly on video – and the teaching stands like a rock. I am doing surprisingly well on chemo – even though it is tough for the jiva at times – knowing that I am the self and not attached nor concerned nor affected by the body’s disease and coping mechanisms; feelings and thoughts about all this poison in the body. I am doing surprisingly well.
Man, I am grateful to you, there is endless gratitude here for you as my teacher and I bow deeply to the sampradaya, all those over the centuries who have passed on and refined the teaching that I receive through you right now. What a gift!
I feel lucky for the fact that the heart attacks happened before the chemo started, lucky because of all the love showered on me by friends and family, lucky to have found out about methadone that helps me now to minimize any side effects, lucky to have found weed oil; it helps me sleep well and relax amidst nausea and dizziness. The realization came to me that the jiva is happening inside of me and not the other way around.
Non-duality to me still is mind-blowing; the immediacy, all-encompassing being of it in non-separation leaves no trace of anything I, the jiva, has held onto until now. That’s where I’m at now.
The issue of smoking has become less important to the jiva, soon a coach will help to stop the habit. I will heal faster without it. I would like to live a whole lot longer – it is such a delight to live!
