First I want to thank you for the extra book you sent “Vedanta, The Big Picture,” a very cool book. Vedanta has been a bumpy road so far. Things started changing when I began your book, The Essence of Enlightenment. At first the knowledge stirred me up, it feels like the fires of Hell.
Oh boy, I thought I was going to lose it completely, rage and hatred came up so consistently and strongly that It made basic living challenging, hence me waiting a bit before thanking you. Then I realised, that I would either work on the qualifications to settle my mind or blow my brains out. It was too much at first but then things started to settle. I know we should not be hypnotized or enthralled by “spiritual experience”, however realisations come with a kind of bliss.
Finally after 26 years, I now have understanding of what took place with an adharmic teacher I followed for a long time. I can now see some of his key realisations and where he messed up. I was, as he called it, his witness. I no longer judge or hate him, for now I understand that we are all stars trying to awaken but before we do, we will mess up! Especially with things like magick and manipulation and the manifestation of hopes and fears. I mean the poor guy just wanted us to realise what he did, but he thought he could force it. So that didn’t work out well. Vedanta put things in perspective for me. I had so many puzzles, but the pieces did not seem to fit. Now I can see where they go.
Vedanta is like the small quiet guy at the bar who no one sees coming and ends up beating the crap out of everyone there. Who knew knowledge is living fire!?
