Where Is the Creation?

Sarah: Just checking in to see how you are doing. I continue to study Vedanta every day and eagerly anticipate your book.

I also wanted to lend my support. I read what that Nondoodleji guy wrote and it was uncalled for. I’m sure you’ve seen it.

Sundari: Thanks for your support. The issue with Dan is a dharma one we had to sort out. Unfortunately, his ego survived “moksa” and he did not take it well.

Sarah: I hope everything else is going well. I’m still working through the Mandukya, a mind-blower every time. I do have a question:

If awareness can’t create and Maya can’t create, how is the projection created? Thinking about Maya is like ruminating on a koan! One day I’ll get it, LOL.

Sending you lots of love.

Sundari: As for your question, here is an answer Ramji gave on this topic recently, which should cover your inquiry. I have highlighted the two paragraphs in particular that answer your question:

Question:
I came across a statement by someone in the Yoga world (forgive me in advance for potentially being deluded by random teachings) that sat was, in their words, the basis for the material Creation. Being that the Self has properties, it must in fact be a “thing,” and that all Creation owed its material existence to the aspect of Self referred to as sat.

Ramji:
Well, I forgive you just this time for consorting with the yogis, but see that it doesn’t happen again.
