Mike: Good morning, Ramji.
Just a quick note to let you know I think I have made some headway in dealing with the incessant idea that I am not good enough. This idea was drummed into my mind from as early as I can remember (like many human jivas). This morning I tried something new, i.e. meditated on the fact that I am pure, limitless, non-dual, ordinary, eternal, perfect, existence/consciousness, and I applied this knowledge directly to the jiva, Mike – speaking this knowledge, out loud, in different ways, spontaneously, over and over again.
What became clear was that, as awareness, I can only accept him. I can only love him. In fact I told him that this acceptance and love has never not been present. I told him that he is good enough and always has been good enough. In my light, he has always been perfect – no better or worse than any other – just perfect because he is of my light. I told him he is totally free and totally loved. And because of this freedom, he can lay down this mental burden, knowing he is unconditionally loved, accepted and will always be cared for as my wholeness, my completeness, as me loving me.
It has been powerful to use this technique and to see this truth. A relief really. And I know there is work to be done, as Maya is “hardwired.” I will continue to beat this new “drumbeat” and see what happens – or doesn’t happen, as it were. ☺
